Senior Data Scientist (100% Remote) - Pharma – Claims Data Experience Required

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Data Scientist specializing in Pharma Claims Data. The Senior Data Scientist will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data, developing statistical models, and creating data visualizations. The role involves designing and implementing data science solutions to solve business problems in the pharmaceutical claims domain. Daily tasks include data analysis, data mining, and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data science experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector
• Strong experience with claims data (e.g., Symphony, IQVIA, Truven, Optum, Flatiron, etc.)
• Proficient in Python, SQL, Snowflake, and at least one ML framework (scikit-learn, XGBoost, etc.)
• Solid grasp of statistical modeling, A/B testing, and causal inference
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) preferred
• Strong communication and storytelling ability using data
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Data Science, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or related field

Bonus Skills

• Familiarity with medical ontologies (ICD, NDC, SNOMED, RxNorm)
• Experience supporting brand analytics, patient segmentation, or omnichannel strategies
• Prior work with AI/ML in the commercial pharma space
• Familiarity with visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
