Contract Book Designer Needed - MSA Teacher and Student Guides

Start May 1, 2025 – End August 31, 2025

Room to Read (RtR), an international non-profit organization focused on literacy and gender equality, is working on a project entitled, “Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) Curriculum Development Project” (the “Project”).

The Designer will provide expertise in managing and formatting all content developed for the curriculum and presenting it in a Room to Read approved format. The assignment consists of 4 guides: Student Guide part 1, Student Guide part 2, Teacher’s Guide part 1, and Teacher’s Guide part 2. The total number of pages is approximately 600. The Designer will work under the guidance of Room to Read’s technical staff and project manager, and collaborate closely with the projects Early Grade Reading Lead. Designer must have experience in designing books that include images and different sections.

Job Summary / Responsibilities:

1. Fully responsible for the design of the Grade 1 MSA student and teacher guides, alongside guidance from the Room to Read technical staff and Early Grade Reading Lead.
2. Available for rapid review of guides based on feedback over the course of the four months of work.
3. Provide full print ready files and packages upon project completion.
