Rodan + Fields is seeking a strategic and creative Social Media Manager to own and elevate the brand’s organic social presence across social channels. This role will be responsible for driving strategy, content creation, community management and reporting across all organic social channels.
The ideal candidate is a results-driven, proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands social-first storytelling and is passionate about building authentic brand love through social. They will bring fresh ideas, identify opportunities to innovate and consistently push R+F’s organic presence to the next level.
This role is highly cross-functional and will play a critical role in shaping how Rodan + Fields shows up on social to inspire, engage and connect with consumers.
Key Responsibilities
Social Strategy + Execution
- Own and lead the organic social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, ensuring alignment with brand priorities, campaigns and launches.
- Lead and manage the social agency relationship, holding them accountable to scope of work, KPIs, timelines and brand excellence.
- Work with the social agency to manage and execute day-to-day social planning, editorial calendar, content briefing, copy direction, approvals and publishing.
- Lead photoshoots and content creation from strategy through execution, ensuring assets are social-first, on-brand and engaging.
- Identify trends, cultural moments and platform innovations to drive relevance and engagement.
- Manage any personalities (brand spokespersons or influencer partners) and any specific owned social activations i.e., Lives, etc.
- Collaborate and Partner across brand marketing team with brand, creative, PR and influencer teams to deliver cohesive storytelling across key brand milestones/moments, tentpole activations, new innovation and touchpoints
Community Management + Advocacy
- Oversee community management, including monitoring, engaging and responding to comments/messages in a brand-right voice.
- Develop and implement strategies to deepen community connections and foster meaningful advocacy.
- Amplify user-generated content and elevate consumer voices to strengthen brand love.
- Monitor conversations to identify reputational risks and opportunities to proactively join cultural conversations.
Analytics + Performance
- Define and track KPIs to measure success across reach, engagement, sentiment, growth and share of voice.
- Work with agency to build and maintain reporting dashboards, translating performance data into actionable insights.
- Conduct competitive benchmarking and social listening to identify whitespace opportunities.
- Continuously optimize strategy and execution to meet and exceed KPIs.
Leadership + Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to ensure social strategy aligns with brand and business goals.
- Act as an internal social media expert and thought leader, sharing best practices and emerging trends with stakeholders.
- Potential to mentor or manage a junior team member as the social team evolves.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree and 5 years experience; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
- Manage organic social channels for a consumer brand ideally in beauty, wellness or lifestyle.
- Proven track record of growing engagement, reach and brand affinity through social.
- Experience leading photoshoots and content creation from concept through delivery.
- Strong understanding of platform best practices and cultural/social trends across all social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
- Skilled in analytics, with experience using social media management tools (Sprinklr, Sprout, or similar) and Google Analytics.
- Exceptional copywriting, storytelling and communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Highly collaborative, proactive and solutions-oriented, with the ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment.

Salary Range: $89,600 - $145,000
The pay range represents the low and high end of the salary range we reasonably expect to pay for this position at the time of posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, to geographic location, experience, education, skills, qualifications, performance, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of Rodan + Fields’ total compensation package for employees.
