Job Overview

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to design, develop, and support software solutions that align with our capability objectives. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python, Java, AWS, React, and Terraform, with a solid foundation in low-level design and behavior-driven development.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate high-level wireframes into iterative, functional software solutions.
• Collaborate with software engineers to implement business logic and APIs.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software solutions.
• Ensure data security and monitoring best practices.
• Utilize FastAPI for API development and integrate with data layers.
• Participate in sprint planning, providing estimates and owning development stories.
• Apply agile software development practices, including CI/CD and DevOps principles.
• Troubleshoot and optimize performance across the software stack.
• Provide input into testing plans and develop automated tests.

Required Qualifications

• 5-7 years of software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Python, Java, and AWS (Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Aurora, S3).
• Experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Material UI for frontend development.
• Knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Strong background in low-level design and translating high-level designs.
• Familiarity with behavior-driven development.
• Experience in monitoring and ensuring data security.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and business logic implementation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a growth mindset.

Contract Talent The salary range for this position is 60/hr to 70/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
