Job Responsibilities:

• Serve as a senior-level QA resource providing primary QA support for an enterprise portal platform
• Execute, maintain, and extend TypeScript-based UI automation using Cypress, including advanced scenarios and edge-case validation
• Perform API testing across multiple backend services using Postman and code-based automation frameworks
• Contribute to and expand code-driven API automation using Cucumber / BDD-style frameworks, with an emphasis on maintainable test design
• Perform manual release testing and QA triage as needed (~40% of role)
• Act as primary QA support for incidents originating from call center escalations
• Investigate issues, validate defects, and partner closely with developers to resolve code-level problems
• Write and maintain clear, comprehensive test cases and test documentation
• Run SQL Server queries to validate test data and test scenarios
• Work within existing Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines to execute automated tests (QA does not build or modify pipelines)

Requirements of the Position:

• Senior-level QA or SDET experience, with a strong engineering mindset and ability to reason through test architecture, edge cases, and code structure independently
• Strong TypeScript experience (required), including the ability to think through problem-solving, code design, and edge cases — not just surface-level familiarity
• Hands-on experience with Cypress for UI automation
• Experience with code-based API automation using Cucumber / BDD frameworks or similar tools
• Postman experience expected as baseline for API validation and incident triage
• Solid understanding of test case management and test design principles
• Experience working closely with software developers in an Agile environment
• Ability to ramp quickly, learn a large enterprise platform, and proactively identify quality improvements
• Experience with SQL Server or writing SQL queries for test validation
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps pipelines is a plus

This role is not suited for manual-only QA candidates or those without hands-on coding experience in TypeScript.
