Senior Web Designer

This position is 10-15 hours/week for 3-6 months WORDPRESS WEBSITE experience required

Robert Half's client is seeking a Senior Web Designer (Contract, Part-Time) for a project-based role, working approximately 10-15 hours per week over the next 3-6 months. The primary project will be redesigning their WORDPRESS website for their location in Japan. While the designer can work during US hours, meetings will be scheduled during US early mornings (Japan evenings) or US evenings (Japan mornings).

Key Responsibilities:

MUST HAVE NATIVE/FLUENT IN JAPANESE

• Redesign the current Japan office website focusing on both Japanese and English content.
• Ensure the design is user-friendly, culturally appropriate, and visually appealing to a predominantly Japanese audience.
• Collaborate closely with the team in Japan to understand requirements and maintain alignment with their vision.
• Regularly update and manage website content, ensuring it is bilingual and up-to-date.

Requirements:

MUST HAVE NATIVE/FLUENT IN JAPANESE

• Fluent in Japanese (reading, writing, and speaking) to effectively manage content updates and collaborate with the Japan office.
• Proven experience in web design, particularly for bilingual websites or audiences.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time role.
• Strong understanding of Japanese culture and design preferences.
• Prior experience working with remote teams and adapting to different time zones.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience designing websites for a Japanese audience or culturally specific projects.
• Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and web design tools.
