Sr. UX Designer - Ecommerce/D2C
Part time, 10-12 hours/week, fully remote
SUMMARY
The focus of this engagement is to transform a legacy digital experience into a modern, personalized e-commerce storefront. You’ll design a conversion-optimized site that helps users navigate complex products with ease.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead UX strategy and execution for a consumer-facing e-commerce redesign.
- Create wireframes, user flows, sitemaps, and interactive prototypes.
- Develop a streamlined homepage and personalized product journey aligned with brand repositioning.
- Implement segmentation and behavioral logic to drive targeted product merchandising.
- Collaborate with internal teams across strategy, design, copy, and development to ensure cohesion.
- Apply best practices in conversion UX, accessibility (ADA), and mobile-first design.
- Leverage CRM and personalization tools to create dynamic content experiences, especially using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Present work clearly to stakeholders and adapt based on iterative feedback.
- Operate independently using standard UX playbooks to reduce dependencies and accelerate timelines.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of UX design experience, including direct-to-consumer e-commerce work (e.g., storefronts, PDPs, onboarding).
- Demonstrated success in designing conversion-focused, marketing-aligned user journeys.
- Strong portfolio showcasing personalized UX, product merchandising, and mobile-responsive web design.
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar personalization/CRM platforms.
- Proficiency in Figma (required); Adobe Creative Suite and other prototyping tools a plus.
- Deep understanding of the user-centered design process and design system integration.
- Familiarity with front-end development principles (HTML, CSS, JS) and how they impact UX decisions.
- Knowledge of Material 3 design guidelines and accessibility standards.
- Excellent communication skills; comfortable presenting work and advocating for design decisions.
- Capable of working independently in a remote environment with fluctuating hours.
Contract Talent The salary range for this position is 55/hr to 60/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
