Position: Backend Engineer – Platform & Services

Location: Remote - US Only

We’re looking for a backend engineer to help architect and build the core services that power large-scale platforms used by millions globally. You'll be joining a high-performing, collaborative team focused on building cloud-native infrastructure and backend APIs that enable real-time features, developer tooling, and platform-wide integrations. The systems you build will need to be reliable, performant, and secure — capable of scaling to support high concurrency and dynamic workloads.

What You'll Work On

• Design and implement backend systems that process high throughput, low latency workloads at scale
• Build cloud-native APIs and services that power mission-critical features across multiple platforms
• Develop solutions that support millions of users, handling spikes, concurrency, and cross-region challenges
• Work with both relational and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, Redis, PostgreSQL, etc.) to ensure speed and reliability
• Use metrics, logging, and observability tooling to monitor, debug, and improve performance in production
• Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions from design to deployment

What You Bring

• 3+ years of experience building and operating high-scale backend systems
• Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages like Go, Python, Java, or Rust
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), including compute, storage, messaging, and API gateways
• Experience designing fault-tolerant, event-driven, or microservice architectures
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration (Kubernetes), and modern Git workflows
• A deep understanding of performance tuning, load testing, and scaling techniques for backend systems
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, low-ego approach to problem solving
