Agentic AI Data Engineer

Robert Half Digital is hiring for a forward-thinking Agentic Software Engineer to join a dynamic team revolutionizing the healthcare landscape.

In this role, you will move beyond traditional software development to explore the frontier of agentic workflows. You will be instrumental in designing high-performance data solutions that power everything from care management to operational visibility, leveraging the full power of the Azure cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and build scalable data pipelines and integrations utilizing the Azure ecosystem (Data Factory, Event Hub, etc.), infused with AI-based methodologies.
• Drive the "agentic transformation" by developing and deploying autonomous agents that interact with data systems to monitor processes and generate real-time insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and execute on opportunities for intelligent automation and complex workflows.
• Maintain and optimize data warehousing and analytics platforms (Azure SQL, Data Lake, Power BI).
• Integrate machine learning models to elevate data processing capabilities and decision-making logic.
• Ensure all solutions are strictly compliant with healthcare standards (HIPAA) and secure within the cloud environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in software development, data engineering, or cloud data platforms.
• Tech Stack: Proficiency in Python and SQL is required, along with deep knowledge of Azure services (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake).
• AI & Agents: Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot, ClaudeCode, or Codex) and exposure to agentic software engineering or autonomous agents is highly preferred.
• Mindset: A strong passion for innovation, automation, and Agile methodologies.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
