- Develop and manage an annual events calendar, prioritizing based on business goals and ROI.
- Work with marketing and sales leadership to define key success metrics.
Event Execution
- Lead the planning, production, and execution of MX-hosted events including our annual flagship summit, customer roundtables, and partner forums.
- Oversee MX’s presence at third-party conferences including Money20/20, Finovate, and other fintech and banking events.
- Ensure a consistent brand experience and message across all touchpoints—virtual, in-person, and hybrid.
Team & Vendor Management
- Manage external vendors, contractors, agencies, and venue partners to deliver polished, high-impact experiences.
- Collaborate with internal creative, content, and product marketing teams for event storytelling and promotional campaigns.
- Supervise event staff and logistics coordinators as needed.
Budget & ROI
- Own the events budget and track spend against performance goals.
- Build post-event reports with clear performance metrics (e.g., registrations, engagement, influenced pipeline, partner feedback).
Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of relevant experience in event marketing, field marketing, or experiential marketing—preferably in B2B tech, SaaS, or fintech.
- Proven experience leading both small-scale and large-scale events (100–5,000+ attendees).
- Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to juggle multiple events in various stages simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and executive stakeholders.
- Budget management experience, with an analytical mindset to measure impact and optimize future performance.
- Excellent communication, vendor negotiation, and crisis-management skills.
- Comfort with marketing tools (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo, Asana, Cvent, or similar).
- Passion for delivering seamless experiences and representing a premium, mission-driven brand.
Bonus Points
- Experience planning and executing events within the fintech, banking, or financial services sector.
- Background in integrated campaign execution with content and demand gen teams.
- Familiarity with CX- or UX-focused activations that drive engagement and brand loyalty.
