Job Overview:
Our client is a leading SaaS company transforming the fire protection, life safety, and mechanical industries. As a Sr. Product Marketing Manager, you will be the lead storyteller responsible for positioning the platform for the various personas and industries they serve. You’ll work closely between the product and marketing teams to drive efficiency in the execution of programs and campaigns.
About You:
You’re curious-minded and have proven experience bringing B2B SaaS based solutions to market through messaging & positioning, competitive intelligence programs, product launches, and Go-to-Market planning. You understand the power of great storytelling and understand that rhythm and rhyme make memorable impressions. You’ll find success in this role by being a great cross-functional leader who can drive programs and campaigns to market.
Key Responsibilities & Activities:
● Deeply understand the target industry and buyers, and create a strategic plan for communicating.
● Implement Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies and customer-centric messaging for our products with success.
● Execute ongoing buyer, market, and competitive research. You will have the ability to uncover opportunities to capitalize on competitive weaknesses and translate them to sales and marketing.
● Be an effective communicator, with the ability to confidently present ideas and plans to sellers, client success, and other team members, as well as externally to customers and prospects.
● Create sales tools, plays, and resources, and partner with sales enablement for implementation across teams.
● Work closely with Demand Generation and Customer Marketing teams to reach audiences and generate pipeline.
● Be a strategic partner in content strategy and creation using your deep product and industry knowledge to drive reputation and selection
Knowledge and Skills:
● 5+ years of Product Marketing experience in B2B SaaS.
● Strategic thinker with the ability to work independently to develop approaches and plans that will drive business growth
● Strong communication and data storytelling skills with the leadership team and peers.
● Ability to go deep into the technical products, and create compelling, customer-centric messaging that resonates with technical buyers ● Stand out verbal, written, visual/presentation, and demo skills ● A demonstrated mix of creative and analytical skills; proven ability to succinctly synthesize research and provide recommendations in a clear, digestible way
● Excellent planning, project management, and time management skills. ● Strong problem-solving skills - ability to think creatively, use sound judgement, and be bold when making business recommendations and decisions.
● Previous start-up experience is a huge plus
● BA or BS degree; MBA a plus
