Robotics Software Engineer Jobs Mexico (Remote)
Rex.zone connects mid-senior engineers with full-time remote robotics software engineering roles across autonomous systems. You will build and maintain robot software stacks used in perception, planning, controls, and simulation, integrating sensors and real-time middleware into production workflows.
What You Will Do
- Design, implement, and maintain ROS/ROS2 components in C++ and Python
- Build perception and sensor pipelines (camera/LiDAR/IMU) and improve state estimation via SLAM and sensor fusion
- Contribute to navigation and motion planning behaviors and reliable runtime interfaces (topics/services/actions/TF)
- Develop with simulation-driven testing in Gazebo and/or Isaac Sim, and validate changes before deployment
- Own testing strategy: unit/integration tests, CI/CD, log replay/rosbag analysis, and hardware-in-the-loop validation
- Triage field issues, profile CPU/memory/latency, and improve uptime, safety, and mission success
Required Qualifications
- Mid-senior experience delivering production software for robotics, autonomy, or real-time systems
- Strong C++ skills and working Python skills for tooling, prototyping, or automation
- Hands-on experience with ROS2 or ROS, including node architecture and debugging tools
- Robotics fundamentals: coordinate frames, kinematics, calibration, and probabilistic state estimation
- Comfortable on Linux with Git, CI/CD, and automated testing in a remote environment
Compensation
- $30–$50 per hour (base salary)
