We are seeking an experienced Digital Marketing Expert specializing in pay-per-click (PPC) advertising to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing paid advertising campaigns across Google Ads and Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) to drive qualified traffic, generate leads, and maximize return on ad spend (ROAS). The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with contractors and or agencies on website CRO, graphic design, video production, email marketing, SEO and other tasks related to a successful digital marketing operation. Ideal candidate lives in Orange County, CA but we are open to remote locations nationwide for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Management

  • Plan, create, and execute PPC campaigns across Google Ads (Search, Display, Shopping, YouTube) and Meta platforms (Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads)
  • Conduct comprehensive keyword research and competitive analysis to identify high-value opportunities
  • Develop compelling ad copy, creative assets, and landing page recommendations that align with campaign objectives
  • Set up proper campaign structure, ad groups, targeting parameters, and bidding strategies
  • Monitor daily campaign performance and make real-time optimizations to improve results

Analytics and Optimization

  • Analyze campaign performance metrics including CTR, CPC, conversion rates, ROAS, and cost per acquisition
  • Implement A/B testing strategies for ad creative, copy, audiences, and landing pages
  • Use Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics, and other tracking tools to measure campaign effectiveness
  • Create detailed performance reports and present findings to stakeholders with actionable recommendations
  • Continuously optimize campaigns based on data insights and industry best practices

Strategic Planning

  • Collaborate with marketing team to align PPC strategies with overall marketing objectives and brand messaging
  • Develop quarterly and annual PPC budgets and forecasts
  • Stay current with platform updates, new features, and industry trends to maintain competitive advantage
  • Identify new advertising opportunities and expansion strategies across different platforms and markets

Technical Implementation

  • Set up and maintain conversion tracking, UTM parameters, and attribution models
  • Implement Google Tag Manager and Facebook Pixel for accurate data collection
  • Coordinate with web development team on landing page optimization and technical requirements
  • Ensure compliance with platform policies and advertising regulations

Required Qualifications

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing PPC campaigns with minimum annual ad spend of $500K+
  • 3+ years of experience working at an agency and managing multiple customer accounts
  • Proven track record of achieving positive ROAS and meeting campaign KPIs
  • Google Ads certification (Search, Display, Shopping) preferred
  • Meta Blueprint certification preferred

Technical Skills

  • Expert-level proficiency in Google Ads Editor, Facebook Ads Manager, and Google Analytics
  • Strong understanding of bidding strategies, audience targeting, and campaign optimization techniques
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager, conversion tracking, and attribution modeling
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS basics for landing page optimization
  • Familiarity with CRM integration and lead tracking systems

Core Competencies

  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret complex data and identify trends
  • Excellent written communication skills for ad copywriting and reporting
  • Detail-oriented approach to campaign setup and quality assurance
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously
  • Creative problem-solving skills for optimization challenges
  • Understanding of sales funnels, customer journey mapping, and conversion optimization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Creativity to help map out and develop ad content
  • Experience with additional platforms such as LinkedIn Ads, Twitter Ads, or programmatic advertising
  • Knowledge of marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot)
  • Experience in e-commerce, B2B, or lead generation environments
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data visualization
  • Basic understanding of SEO and how it complements paid advertising efforts

Performance Metrics

Success in this role will be measured by:

  • Achievement of target ROAS and cost per acquisition goals
  • Growth in qualified leads and conversions from paid channels
  • Improvement in campaign efficiency metrics (CTR, Quality Score, Relevance Score)
  • Accurate budget management and forecasting
  • Quality of insights and recommendations provided to leadership team
