This role is posted on behalf of the following client: They are building a next-generation B2B search platform that helps users discover meaningful connections between organizations and people to drive partnerships, sales, and growth. Their technology transforms vast amounts of public business data into a rich, interconnected knowledge graph, making it easier to explore, understand, and act on complex information. They are looking for an experienced, hands-on Data Scientist to help shape the core of this platform. You’ll work closely with the founding team to develop data cleaning and entity resolution modules, then move into entity linking and information extraction using modern language models and machine learning. This is an opportunity to join early, influence technical direction, and have a direct impact on how users find and understand business information.

Role Overview

As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in building the data intelligence layer that powers our B2B search platform. You’ll design and implement scalable systems for cleaning, resolving, and linking large, heterogeneous datasets that describe organizations and people. Your work will directly shape how information is organized, connected, and discovered across our knowledge graph. You’ll start by developing core modules for entity resolution and data standardization within our Python-based data pipelines. From there, you’ll advance into applying language models, embeddings, and other ML/NLP techniques to improve entity linking, semantic search, and information extraction. This is a hands-on, end-to-end role where you’ll define scope, experiment, and ship production-ready code—working closely with the founding team to establish our data foundations and scale our platform’s intelligence.

Who You Are:

• Have 5+ years of experience applying machine learning and other NLP techniques to organize and connect complex, real-world data.
• Are fluent in Python and experienced with current AI/ML techniques: embeddings, vector databases, model fine-tuning and evaluation.
• Design reliable data workflows that standardize, canonicalize, and link structured and unstructured data across diverse sources.
• Understand how knowledge connects. You’ve built or worked with knowledge graphs, entity linking, or semantic search, and you enjoy modeling data to make it more discoverable.
• Take ownership of problems and projects. You’re comfortable defining scope, making design choices, and writing well-structured code that integrates into production pipelines.
• Work collaboratively and pragmatically. You contribute ideas, listen to feedback, ask for help when you need it, and focus on customer impact.
• Balance experimentation with practical execution. You can prototype quickly, build what works, and ship code that solves real problems.
• Stay engaged with emerging AI capabilities like agentic workflows and tool-calling systems, and know how to evaluate what's worth adopting for our specific needs.
