Shopify Web Designer - Fulltime Remote

Our mission is to help customers save time and money when purchasing commercial kitchen equipment and supplies by providing a customer-centric shopping experience and through leveraging our industry buying power.

We are seeking a creative and experienced Shopify Web Designer to join our team. The successful candidate must be a 10x designer responsible for managing our Shopify sites and implementing UI/UX best practices for our eCommerce company. This position requires a strong eye for detail, an understanding of current design trends, and the ability to think outside the box. The Designer must also be able to work independently and collaboratively in order to meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-quality UI/UX directly within Shopify, using Shopify’s native tools, including Liquid and Theme Editor.
• Create intuitive and visually appealing layouts that enhance the shopping experience and drive conversions.
• Optimize mobile responsiveness and performance to ensure a seamless experience across all devices.
• Maintain a consistent brand identity across all web pages and marketing assets.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are executed accurately and efficiently.
• Utilize Figma when necessary for specific design needs but prioritize direct Shopify design workflows.
• Analyze site performance data and iterate on designs to improve usability and sales.

Skills and Requirements:

• Extensive experience designing within Shopify stores with gross revenues over $10 million dollars.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles specific to eCommerce and high-traffic online stores.
• Proficiency in Liquid, Shopify theme customization, and Shopify’s built-in design tools.
• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS for effective collaboration with developers.
• Experience optimizing websites for mobile responsiveness and speed.
• Ability to make data-informed design decisions to enhance user experience and sales.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update various Shopify sites
• Design A/B landing pages in html and monitor in Google analytics
• Collaborate with other designers and stakeholders to create innovative solutions
• Understand user experience design principles and be able to apply them to projects
• Be able to use design software such as Adobe Creative Suite
• Be able to work independently and in a team environment
