UX Designer (Shopify) – 4-Month Contract (Remote)

We’re a fast-growing ecommerce company that recently transitioned to Shopify to elevate our online experience and streamline operations. We're now looking for a talented UX Designer with deep Shopify expertise to help us design and optimize intuitive, visually compelling, and high-converting user experiences for our new suite of Shopify sites.

Position Type: Contract (3-5 months)

Location: Remote

Start Date: ASAP

Compensation: Competitive, based on experience

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate with our internal teams (marketing, development, and product) to lead UX/UI design efforts across our Shopify storefronts
• Design user-centric ecommerce experiences that drive engagement, conversion, and customer satisfaction
• Conduct UX audits and use insights to recommend and implement optimizations
• Translate business goals and user needs into wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity designs
• Create and maintain design systems consistent with our brand and Shopify’s capabilities
• Partner with developers to ensure design accuracy during implementation
• Test, iterate, and refine designs based on user behavior and performance data

Who You Are:

• 3+ years of UX/UI design experience, preferably in ecommerce
• Proven experience designing and optimizing Shopify storefronts
• Strong understanding of D2C ecommerce best practices, mobile-first design, and CRO principles
• Skilled in design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
• A sharp eye for layout, typography, and visual storytelling
• Strong communicator who can clearly present ideas and collaborate in a remote team environment
• Bonus: Experience with graphic design, branding, or content design
