Senior Full Stack Software Developer

About the Role

We’re building an AI-powered creative platform where users generate, edit, and collaborate on visual content in real time. Our product is a modern, fast, multiplayer web application delivered as a polished SaaS experience.

We’re looking for a senior full-stack developer who has shipped production applications on the modern React/Next.js stack and is comfortable owning features end to end, from database schema and backend functions to pixel-level UI polish.

What You’ll Do

•     Design and build user-facing features across the full stack: generation workflows, canvas/board tools, asset libraries, team workspaces, and sharing/collaboration

•     Model data and write backend functions in Convex, including real-time queries, mutations, scheduled jobs, and access control

•     Own frontend performance and quality: RSC/client component boundaries, bundle size, loading states, optimistic updates, and accessibility

•     Implement real-time collaboration features

•     Set up and maintain observability: error tracking, performance monitoring, and alerting

•     Contribute to internationalization, design-system consistency, and developer experience

What We’re Looking For

Required:

•     5+ years of professional software development experience, with 3+ years in React and TypeScript

•     Deep, production-level experience with Next.js App Router. Server components, server actions, streaming, caching behavior, and their trade-offs

•     Experience building and operating a real SaaS backend: authentication, authorization, multi-tenant data models, rate limiting, and background jobs

•     Experience integrating external APIs and services at scale, with sane retry, fallback, and error-surfacing patterns

•     Strong product sense, you sweat empty states, error copy, and loading experiences, not just the happy path

•     Comfortable working in a small team with high ownership and minimal handholding

Nice to Have:

•     Direct experience with Convex (or comparable reactive backends)

•     Experience with auth frameworks

•     Prior work on AI or generative-media products

•     Real-time collaboration experience (CRDTs, presence, multiplayer state)

•     Familiarity with i18n workflows and shipping to a global user base
