About the Opportunity:

The TELECOM MSP PROJECT MANAGER role is responsible for leading the delivery of complex telecommunications and managed services projects. This position manages large-scale infrastructure initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams and strategic carrier partnerships to ensure projects meet time, budget, and quality expectations. The role significantly contributes to operational success by overseeing project execution and enhancing service delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Lead multiple concurrent telecommunications and managed services projects from initiation to completion
• Oversee infrastructure projects including Ethernet, SD-WAN, GPON, and firewall implementations
• Direct engineering, operations, and service delivery teams; monitor progress and accountability
• Manage relationships with major telecom carriers to negotiate terms and resolve issues
• Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, resource allocations, and risk mitigation
• Track KPIs, project metrics, and success criteria; report to leadership and customers
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and scope changes; implement corrective actions
• Mentor junior project coordinators and associate project managers
• Serve as primary customer contact for strategic updates and stakeholder management
• Optimize project management processes and systems
• Manage project budgets and control expenses
• Maintain detailed documentation, lessons learned, and best practices

Requirements:

• 7+ years of project or program management experience in telecommunications or managed services
• Expertise managing large-scale telecom and network infrastructure projects
• Experience coordinating with major telecom carriers on circuit ordering and provisioning
• Proven ability to manage multi-million dollar project budgets, resources, and timelines
• Proficiency with enterprise project management tools, ticketing systems, and BI platforms
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent stakeholder and executive-level communication skills
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
• Preferred: PMP or similar certification, knowledge of telecom ordering and provisioning, P&L management experience, Agile methodology experience, vendor management and contract negotiation skills
