Sr Software Engineer (remote)

2. About the Opportunity:

The Sr Software Engineer will play a key role in translating business product requirements into effective software solutions using the BlueYonder suite. This position drives software design, development, and maintenance for both frontend and backend components, ensuring high-quality and reliable applications that support retail space management. The role is critical for analyzing and resolving complex technical problems, optimizing software functionality, and collaborating across teams to align technology with business goals. This position contributes to continuous improvement through testing, automation, and staying current with emerging technologies.

3. Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement business product requirements within the BlueYonder suite

• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions using .net and JDA space automation tools

• Write clean, efficient, maintainable code for frontend, backend, and database integration

• Set up environments including installation of CKB, JDA/BlueYonder applications, and user access

• Analyze technical problems, identify root causes, and implement solutions

• Troubleshoot and debug software issues

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate tasks and meet project goals

• Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders

• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices

• Engage in professional development and training

• Ensure software quality through test case writing and execution, including unit, integration, and performance tests

• Implement automated testing frameworks and follow quality assurance processes

4. Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field

• Minimum of five years progressive experience as a Software Developer or similar IT role

• Experience with BlueYonder category management suite

• Proficient in .net, Oracle PL/SQL programming, and stored procedures

• Experience managing or designing retail floorplans and planograms

• Knowledge of space planning, planogram generation, data management, Open Access, and space automation in category management

• Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices within BlueYonder software environments

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Rate of Pay: From $135,000 per year. This amount meets or exceeds the prevailing wage as determined by the U.S. Department of Labor.
