2. About the Opportunity:
The Senior Software Engineer role is responsible for leading key technical initiatives in the computational imaging pipeline. This position manages the deployment, scaling, and monitoring of regulated AI algorithms, ensuring that solutions meet medical quality and performance standards. The role also involves mentoring engineers and influencing system architecture, contributing directly to the reliability and accuracy of regulated AI-driven medical imaging products.
3. Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and deploy scalable AI services and computational imaging pipelines with high availability
• Develop extensible system architectures balancing performance, security, and maintainability
• Manage full lifecycle delivery of complex features, including architectural planning and post-release monitoring
• Maintain high availability and observability of services, improving alerting, logging, and incident response
• Uphold engineering standards through code reviews, mentorship, and documentation
• Lead technical design reviews and system decomposition across teams
• Identify and address risks in operational and architectural resilience
• Collaborate across teams to reduce knowledge silos and ensure system continuity
• Design and implement testing and validation strategies compliant with regulatory standards
• Contribute to technical documentation for regulatory submissions
4. Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 8 to 12 years of software engineering experience with expertise in AI production systems (Python, PyTorch) and data services (SQL, Postgres, NoSQL, Redis or similar)
• Experience designing, implementing, and securing RESTful web services
• Proficiency in MLOps orchestration and cloud deployment (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with AWS, GitHub, and continuous integration pipelines
• Proven ability to architect and deliver scalable production systems
• Experience mentoring engineers and providing design feedback
• Strong systems thinking with focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainability
• Skilled in designing for observability and operational excellence (logs, alerts, dashboards, runbooks)
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments and clarify requirements across teams
Preferred:
• Experience with end-to-end medical imaging pipelines and familiarity with HIPAA/HITRUST security standards
• Hands-on experience with computer vision and deep learning for medical image processing
