2. About the Opportunity:
The Senior Software Engineer in Test plays a key role in ensuring software quality by developing and maintaining automation test frameworks and tools. This position supports the testing infrastructure, validates software applications end-to-end, and collaborates closely with product managers and developers to create effective test strategies. The role is essential for improving test coverage through automation and integrating testing within the deployment process, contributing directly to the reliability and robustness of the software systems.
3. Responsibilities:
• Support test infrastructure for software systems and components
• Design, build, and maintain test automation tools and frameworks using clean coding and functional programming
• Perform end-to-end validation of software applications
• Analyze systems, assess risks, and develop test strategies in collaboration with product teams
• Promote new testing methodologies and best practices to enhance automation coverage
• Integrate testing with deployment infrastructure for continuous build and test cycles
• Collaborate with developers throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure quality
• Report, document, and communicate defects discovered during testing
• Handle Protected Health Information (PHI) in paper and electronic forms according to job requirements
• Complete required training on HIPAA/PHI privacy, compliance, and security within the first 30 days of hire
• Maintain current status on all required training
• Pass a post-offer criminal background check
4. Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience developing test automation frameworks using programming and scripting languages
• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Proficient in Scala and/or Java
• Hands-on experience with REST API testing and automation
• Experience with front-end test automation tools and libraries such as Selenium, TestNG, Junit, ScalaTest, Gatling
• Strong SQL skills and knowledge of relational databases
• Proficient with Linux and command line shell scripting
• Knowledge of QA methodologies, test planning, system dependencies, and product integration
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• Remote USA $122,900—$153,600 USD
• Actual compensation packages depend on candidate skills, experience, certifications, and office location. Variations may occur due to regional labor cost differences.
