Sr. Software Engineer, Customer Platform

About the Opportunity:

The organization is a leading health and wellness platform dedicated to improving health outcomes by providing affordable, accessible, and personalized care. This opportunity is for a Senior Engineer within the Customer Platform group, focusing on designing and implementing scalable full-stack solutions that drive user engagement and satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Design and architect scalable, high-performance full-stack solutions that meet product requirements.

• Mentor engineers on best practices, design patterns, and coding standards.

• Represent technical needs and priorities within the broader engineering organization.

• Participate in product discovery to assess feasibility, define features, and validate ideas.

• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive user interfaces.

• Work with other engineering teams for seamless system integration.

• Identify and implement strategic technologies to improve security, scalability, reliability, and performance.

• Break down complex projects into actionable tasks.

• Implement observability practices for logging, monitoring, and alerting.

• Lead efforts to improve engineering workflows, processes, and tools.

• Analyze performance metrics and user feedback to drive optimization.

• Create and maintain technical documentation.

• Conduct code reviews and share knowledge within the team.

• Identify and address performance bottlenecks.

• Stay current with industry trends and propose innovative solutions.

• Contribute to the hiring process and onboard new engineers.

• Foster open communication and continuous improvement through feedback and coaching.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience as a software engineer delivering production code.

• 3+ years in back-end distributed system design, development, and delivery, preferably in eCommerce.

• 3+ years with microservice architectures.

• Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

• Experience with E-commerce/Subscription systems (Catalog, Payments, Orders, Subscriptions).

• Proven experience building scalable web applications and services in a cloud environment.

• Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, React, React Native, NextJS, GraphQL) and back-end technologies (Node.js, Redis, Kotlin).

• Experience with full-stack delivery and hosting on Kubernetes and AWS.

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

• Experience with agile software development and delivery.

• Experience with CI/CD, integrated unit tests, and end-to-end integration tests.

• Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Able to prioritize multiple projects independently.
