About the Opportunity:
A Senior Engineer is needed to join the Infrastructure Core Services team responsible for building the backbone of the mental health platform. The role involves owning critical services such as authentication, authorization, event-driven architecture (Kafka), and other core components that support the engineering teams. The position emphasizes building high-quality internal tools, SDKs, and shared services that enable product teams to ship confidently.
Responsibilities:
• Own and maintain critical infrastructure services including authentication, authorization, and event-driven architecture
• Build and deliver intuitive, reliable, and widely adopted internal tools, SDKs, and shared services
• Empower engineering teams by enabling faster and smarter development workflows
• Write clean, tested, and well-designed code following standard design principles and patterns
• Lead projects independently and collaborate across teams and functions
Requirements:
• Experience building high-quality internal tools, SDKs, or engineering empowerment services used across an engineering organization
• Working knowledge of Kafka-based tools and event-driven architecture to maintain and evolve core Kafka libraries and CLI tools
• Proven ability to write thorough, well-designed, and tested code with strong personal quality control
• Experience leading projects independently and working collaboratively across teams
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with authentication and authorization integrations such as OAuth, OIDC, PKCE
• Background in industries requiring strict data privacy, security, and system stability (e.g., healthcare, credit card)
• Proficiency or quick learning ability in Node, Typescript, Ruby, Python
• Experience with AWS tools
• Experience working with Kubernetes
