Sr Software Engineer (Backend)

About the Opportunity:

The SR SOFTWARE ENGINEER (BACKEND) leads the design, development, and maintenance of complex backend software systems. This role provides technical direction, mentors team members, and collaborates with stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that support the organization's goals.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement complex backend systems
• Own end-to-end delivery of significant software features
• Ensure code quality, scalability, and maintainability
• Influence technical direction and team engineering practices

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience
• At least 5 years in the insurance industry
• 5+ years building production-ready APIs using C# and .NET 5 or later
• Experience with microservices architecture in containerized environments
• Proficiency with cloud-based SQL and NoSQL databases and related services
• Experience using Git and GitHub for collaboration and code review
• Skilled in writing unit tests and automated integration tests (e.g., Postman)
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Effective collaboration in cross-functional teams
• Willingness to learn new technologies and drive continuous improvement

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Annual salary estimated between $140,000 and $165,000 based on national data and candidate qualifications
