Sr. Program Manager, HR Communications

2. About the Opportunity: The Senior Program Manager, HR Communications is responsible for developing and executing clear, employee-focused communication programs throughout the employee lifecycle. This role leads the People Team’s crisis communication and response strategy to keep employees informed and supported during key events and unexpected situations. Reporting to the head of People Experience & Culture, this position translates complex HR initiatives into understandable narratives, aligns cross-functional teams, and ensures consistent communication that supports organizational culture

3. Responsibilities:

• Develop and own HR communications strategy with the Internal Communications Team
• Coordinate messaging for major people programs including performance, benefits, culture, and learning initiatives
• Translate HR technical updates into clear communication plans
• Lead crisis communication strategy and manage crisis response processes
• Collaborate with multiple teams to provide coordinated resources during safety or workplace incidents
• Integrate mental health best practices into crisis communications
• Support executive standards for resource sharing during various crises
• Manage emergency notification systems and comply with data privacy requirements
• Create and review HR communications including emails, toolkits, leadership messages, and presentations
• Maintain a cohesive and inclusive HR communication voice
• Support leadership with people-focused messaging
• Anticipate and plan communication needs across HR programs
• Lead cross-functional planning for major launches
• Facilitate alignment between Benefits, Facilities, Legal, IT, and Corporate Communications
• Support communication for organizational changes and culture programs
• Use employee feedback to improve communication strategies
• Optimize People Team communication channels and develop communication tools and guidelines
• Partner with Corporate Affairs to ensure message consistency across the organization

4. Requirements:

• 12+ years of experience in internal communications, HR communications, employee experience, or program management
• Proven experience in complex or sensitive communication; crisis communication experience preferred
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
• Effective program management and stakeholder alignment capabilities
• Experience managing communication across diverse geographies and remote environments
• Ability to handle ambiguity with urgency, discretion, and emotional intelligence
• Skilled at driving alignment with senior leaders and cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of HR and Legal practices, change management, and employee experience strategy
