2. About the Opportunity:

The Sr. Data Scientist is responsible for designing and optimizing next-generation search and retrieval systems. This role focuses on applying GenAI and large language models to enhance enterprise search experiences. The position contributes by delivering AI-powered search strategies that improve data relevance and user outcomes across diverse environments.

3. Responsibilities:

• Design and optimize intelligent search solutions using Elasticsearch, including lexical, semantic, and vector-based techniques.

• Apply Retrieval-Augmented Generation patterns to enhance LLM-driven applications with enterprise data.

• Consult with customers to translate business needs into AI-powered search strategies.

• Develop embedding strategies, indexing methods, and query workflows to improve search relevance.

• Evaluate and integrate LLMs and GenAI capabilities into enterprise search use cases.

• Collaborate with data, AI, and platform teams to align GenAI solutions with current systems.

• Provide strategic advice to improve search performance and user experience.

• Lead knowledge-sharing, workshops, and enablement activities related to advanced search techniques.

• Serve as an advisor on emerging trends in AI-powered search and retrieval.

• Stay updated on advancements in Elasticsearch, GenAI, and search methodologies.

4. Requirements:

• Experience applying Elasticsearch to search, analytics, or data science projects.

• Strong knowledge of search concepts such as relevance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.

• Experience with AI-driven solutions in enterprise settings.

• Familiarity with large-scale data platforms and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.

• U.S. Citizenship and active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Salary Range: $175,000 - $200,000
