Software Engineer - Remote

About the Opportunity:

The Radiation Oncology Systems Unit within the Clinical Systems Domain is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Custom Development IT team. This team collaborates with medical physicists and IT professionals to deliver secure, scalable solutions for an Enterprise Radiation Oncology Department supporting both Photon and Proton clinics.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain custom system software

• Create middleware to integrate measurement hardware, software interfaces, TPS scripting, and data flow

• Develop one-off code solutions to optimize and automate unique clinical processes

• Operate in a fast-paced Agile environment, managing multiple initiatives and reprioritizing as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor''s degree in computer science/engineering or related field; or associate’s degree with 2 additional years of relevant experience

• Strong understanding of software development concepts and object-oriented programming

• Experience in web programming, specifically with C# and .NET

• Front-end development skills and experience in Agile software development processes

• Experience with Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript web app development is a plus

• Familiarity with DICOM standards preferred

• Ability and willingness to learn additional programming languages as needed

• Experience with large databases, MS SQL, and SQL query optimization

• Knowledge of client application models, web-based application models, and web APIs

• Experience with complex system integration including file-based and API-based integrations

• Familiarity with agile scrum and secure coding practices

• Knowledge of cloud app development and technologies is preferable

Compensation:

• $95,534.40 - $140,462.40 per year
