2. About the Opportunity:
The Software Engineer L2 role involves technical ownership of the care coordination platform used daily by clinical care navigators and clinicians to support members. Positioned at the intersection of engineering and clinical operations, the role requires collaboration with users and stakeholders to identify issues, deliver timely improvements, and ensure the platform’s effectiveness through data-driven adjustments. This position is crucial for translating clinical workflows into reliable software solutions, setting architectural direction, and managing production responsibilities.
3. Responsibilities:
• Own the full-stack Python and TypeScript codebase, including code review and architectural decisions.
• Develop and extend AI-assisted internal tooling to increase engineering efficiency.
• Manage production aspects such as cloud infrastructure, deployment, observability, and incident response.
• Monitor operational metrics to evaluate platform performance and propose improvements.
• Engage directly with clinical and operational stakeholders to incorporate feedback and clarify requirements.
• Collaborate on product roadmaps, prioritizing features and proposing strategic initiatives.
• Integrate the platform with internal and third-party healthcare systems.
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of clinical workflows to enhance software context.
4. Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in production software development.
• Fluency in Python and TypeScript for daily development and code direction.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases, including query optimization and safe migrations.
• Experience with operational data analysis and dashboard management.
• Systems thinking with the ability to design and assess service architectures.
• Production cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or equivalent) including on-call duties.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent written communication skills for documentation and specification writing.
