About the Organization:
This team focuses on ensuring the security of artificial general intelligence systems, protecting technology, people, and products. The opportunity is for a Security Software Engineer to join the Infrastructure Security team, which safeguards critical research and production environments including GPU clusters, multi-cloud infrastructure, datacenters, networking, and storage.
Responsibilities:
• Architect and implement production-grade security services such as authentication systems, access brokers, secure proxies, and key-management infrastructure across hardware, operating systems, Kubernetes, networks, and CI/CD.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and research engineers to embed security in high-performance compute clusters.
• Develop automation and detection tooling to identify and mitigate risks in large-scale cloud and on-premises environments.
• Drive initiatives including line-speed encryption, machine identity, and network isolation for emerging AI workloads.
• Lead or participate in design reviews and threat modeling to ensure new systems launch with strong security foundations.
Requirements:
• Proficiency in software engineering with languages such as Python, Go, Rust, or C/C++, and experience with high-reliability distributed services.
• Experience building or operating security infrastructure including authentication services, service-to-service proxies, and certificate or key-management systems.
• Strong understanding of security principles, best practices, and common vulnerabilities.
• Expertise in securing large-scale cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, including multi-cloud networks and cloud-agnostic system design.
• Familiarity with container and orchestration security (Kubernetes, service meshes) and authentication/authorization standards (OIDC, mTLS, SPIFFE/SPIRE).
• Ability to identify and address security gaps or inefficiencies via automation and tooling.
• Experience delivering scalable solutions and driving impactful infrastructure changes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborative approach to building secure, reliable systems that operate at scale.
