About the Opportunity:

The organization is seeking a Software Engineer III to support the Execution capability of a proprietary technology platform serving global customers. The role involves delivering complex software solutions, evaluating requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes and software standards. This is a fully remote position open to candidates in Minneapolis, Chicago, or Kansas City.

Responsibilities:

• Develop software and design solutions that consider performance and availability

• Collaborate with product managers and principal software engineers to translate requirements into detailed designs

• Estimate software development effort, including dependencies, and develop code for complex requirements

• Optimize, refactor, and reuse code for performance and maintainability

• Write code with secure programming patterns and enhance security in existing applications

• Write unit, integration, and acceptance tests to improve code quality

• Tune performance and resolve availability issues for products or services and their dependencies

• Participate in code reviews, development infrastructure, and process enhancements with other engineers and teams

• Mentor and coach software engineers; participate in design and code reviews and share best practices; seek mentorship when needed

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience on a software development team

• 3+ years of experience creating applications/features in an object-oriented environment (e.g., C#, .NET)

• Experience with relational (MS SQL, Oracle) or non-relational databases (MongoDB)

• Experience working with microservices (WebAPI, Service Stack, REST API, etc.)

• Experience in code reviews, optimization, and testing (unit and acceptance tests)

• Proficient with version control systems (GIT, GitHub, TFS, etc.)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or MIS, or minimum 4 years of equivalent work experience with a high school diploma/GED

• Preferred: Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP), data streaming/messaging frameworks (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ESB), strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to thrive in a collaborative, dynamic workplace

Compensation:

• $101,200.00 - $224,400.00 base pay range across all U.S. locations

• Individual base pay is determined by work location, skills, experience, and relevant education

• Compensation details reflect base pay only and do not include additional variable compensation
