Software Engineer II - Php

About the Opportunity:

The organization is seeking a Software Engineer II to join a fully remote Integrations Engineering team that develops, maintains, and scales integrations with third-party eCommerce platforms and data sources. The role focuses on building scalable APIs, services, and solutions, as well as developing features for generalized data pre-processing and optimization within a leading product feed management platform.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and develop scalable PHP APIs, services, and solutions from concept to production

• Participate in all aspects of the software development process, including design, development, testing, deployment, code reviews, debugging, and documentation

• Design and develop software within large-scale distributed systems

• Write clean, reusable, and quality code, adhering to best practices

• Ensure technical decisions align with goals for quality, performance, scalability, reliability, availability, and security

• Build new features with a focus on testability and extensibility

• Optimize existing software for improved efficiency

• Encourage innovation and continuous improvement

• Advocate for modern development practices and tools

Requirements:

• 3+ years of programming experience

• BS or higher degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

• 1+ years experience with PHP (strongly preferred)

• 2+ years experience with MySQL or similar technology

• 1+ years experience with HTML, JavaScript, TypeScript, and SCSS

• Comfortable working in a Linux environment

• Interest in exploring AI-assisted development

• Experience with a modern JavaScript framework is a plus (Angular and Bootstrap are bonuses)

• Experience with Git

• Strong understanding of solving data problems at scale

• Ability to perform time and memory complexity analysis

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Compensation:

• Pay Transparency Range: $92,000-$156,000

• The exact salary will be dependent on the successful candidate’s location, relevant knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
