2. About the Opportunity:
The Software Engineer, Full-Stack role on the Client Infrastructure team is responsible for designing and maintaining a high-performance desktop email application. This position ensures the application remains efficient and scalable while improving frontend architecture and reliability. The role contributes by enhancing user experience, preventing performance regressions, supporting cross-team collaboration, and mentoring other engineers to strengthen the overall product quality.
3. Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and maintain the desktop application with minimal and predictable resource usage
• Monitor and optimize runtime performance including rendering, memory leaks, and blocking operations
• Advocate for scalable frontend architecture through modularity and decoupling
• Define and promote best practices in code quality via linting, code reviews, and static analysis
• Develop robust error handling, crash reporting, and recovery mechanisms within the UI
• Collaborate with backend, QA, and infrastructure teams on API contracts, versioning, and compatibility
• Maintain tools for metrics, logging, and telemetry to monitor app health and user flows
• Mentor frontend engineers on performance, reliability, and architectural decisions
• Utilize technologies including React, Typescript, Electron, and Google Cloud
4. Requirements:
• 5+ years of professional full-stack web development experience covering database to UI
• Deep understanding of browser JavaScript, including DOM and platform APIs
• Passion for AI and belief in its impact on work and customer experiences
• Commitment to producing high-quality, attention-worthy work
• Effective asynchronous communication skills across multiple platforms
• Strong sense of ownership for personal and company outcomes
• Ability to act quickly and decisively in uncertain situations

• Candidates must be based in the US or Canada
