Software Engineer - Exchange - C++

About the Opportunity:

The organization is a global, fully remote team dedicated to advancing crypto and blockchain technology. This opportunity is within the Exchange team, responsible for backend trading services, including matching engines, market data gateways, APIs, margin systems, and trading infrastructure. The role focuses on developing and maintaining software to support high-performance, secure, and scalable crypto trading platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain core framework and key software components for the trading engine

• Build and design solutions that mitigate risk, implement security, and protect systems and data

• Improve site performance by designing and implementing low-latency and high-availability applications

• Construct dynamically scalable platforms capable of handling heavy transaction volume

• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to product roadmap goals

• Work collaboratively on a distributed team and communicate effectively with stakeholders

Requirements:

• Experience with Linux in distributed or highly-concurrent systems, or in low-latency and high-volume transaction environments

• 3+ years experience working with modern C++

• High proficiency in Python, Rust, and SQL strongly preferred

• Knowledge of order types, trading systems, and financial products highly desirable

• Experience profiling and optimizing code (CPU, memory, network)

• Familiarity with cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies preferred

• Proactive mindset with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

• BS in a technical or quantitative field
