The organization supports the Department of Defense and Department of Navy by providing advanced information technology services. It focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining systems that enhance organizational efficiency through areas such as administrative services, applications integration, corporate strategy, information assurance, and IT operations. The organization also undertakes engineering of new standards, prototype installation, application development, and efforts in data interoperability and system management.

2. About the Opportunity:

The Software Developer (UI/UX) is responsible for creating, enhancing, and maintaining business systems and web applications. The role involves coding user interfaces, developing new software features, and ensuring systems meet operational deadlines. This position contributes to optimizing system functionality and user experience across multiple platforms, supporting the organization’s mission to deliver effective IT solutions.

3. Responsibilities:

• Develop and design requirements for new and existing business systems
• Develop, test, and release significant updates to existing systems
• Plan and execute version upgrades to comply with Navy Functional Area Manager deadlines
• Code and deliver user interfaces, including new and modified web applications
• Manage source code using version control tools
• Code UI using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Program using object-oriented languages such as Java or .NET
• Use IDEs to write and debug code
• Troubleshoot and support web applications across browsers like Chrome and Edge
• Collaborate on shared code bases using tools like GIT
• Configure and operate web application servers

4. Requirements:

• Experience with software for graphic design, video editing, web development, and photography (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Visio)
• Skills in creating banners and icons
• UI/UX experience across platforms
• Accredited BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Minimum five years in software development technologies
• Experience in translating requirements into functional software
• Participation in design discussions and code reviews
• Development and maintenance of unit tests
• Security review experience for code and data
• Database building based on approved designs
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP)
• U.S. Citizenship and active DoD security clearance

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $75,000 - $83,000
