About the Opportunity:
The Fintech Ancillaries team within this organization drives the design, development, and scaling of backend systems for proprietary travel fintech products, integrating with leading global travel companies through the B2B platform, HTS. This Senior Full-Stack Engineer role focuses on building robust, globally-scaled systems serving millions of travelers, supporting B2B partnerships, and advancing the organization’s travel fintech capabilities.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and iterate on features using Scala, React, and technologies such as GCP, OpenAPI, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub.
• Make architectural decisions for core systems within a microservices environment.
• Write and ship production code rapidly in an agile workflow.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in code reviews.
• Contribute to major projects that drive the growth and impact of the organization’s travel fintech platform.
Requirements:
• Experience applying leading industry techniques and technologies.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and architectural impact on performance and maintainability.
• Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Frontend Engineers.
• Commitment to quality and writing scalable, testable code.
• Ability to work independently, proactively, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Previous experience with cloud platforms.
• Experience with Scala and/or React and their libraries.
• Background in travel or eCommerce is a plus.
• Experience in UX design with tools like Figma.
