2. About the Opportunity:

The Senior Software Engineer, Foundations role is responsible for scaling and extending backend data systems that support marketing data workflows critical to customer acquisition and loan conversion. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance data availability, maintainability, and observability, thereby ensuring reliable marketing operations. The role contributes to the growth and scalability of the data platform, directly impacting marketing effectiveness.

3. Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain scalable backend systems and data pipelines for audience segmentation and marketing attribution

• Collaborate with product managers, marketers, and engineers to deliver data solutions supporting acquisition and conversion

• Extend data infrastructure to accommodate increasing volumes, evolving requirements, and new integrations

• Implement monitoring, validation, and guardrails to ensure data quality

• Participate in technical discussions on architecture, access patterns, and scalability to support platform growth

4. Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent) plus 4 years of experience

• 5+ years building and maintaining backend distributed systems or large-scale data platforms

• Experience with data processing systems, databases, or data pipelines in production

• Knowledge of fault tolerance, monitoring, and observability practices for backend systems

• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally to deliver technical solutions

• Preferred: knowledge of data modeling and schema design for large-scale systems

• Preferred: experience with marketing technology or customer segmentation platforms

• Preferred: familiarity with data governance, privacy, and PII security

• Preferred: ability to balance short-term delivery with long-term maintainability and scalability

• Preferred: experience contributing to architectural improvements and engineering best practices

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Anticipated base salary range: $166,900–$230,900 USD (dependent on location and experience)

• Additional compensation includes target bonuses, equity compensation, and benefits
