2. About the Opportunity:
The Senior Executive Assistant, Chief Legal Officer supports the Chief Legal Officer by managing complex schedules, coordinating high-level meetings, and handling sensitive legal and strategic information with discretion. This role ensures the CLO is well-prepared and can operate effectively by providing proactive and anticipatory support. The Senior Executive Assistant also contributes to legal team operations and mentors junior assistants, playing a key role in the smooth functioning of executive and board-related activities.
3. Responsibilities:
• Manage a complex, high-volume calendar and global travel
• Coordinate meetings with senior stakeholders, external counsel, board members, and regulators
• Handle sensitive and confidential information supporting legal priorities and strategic initiatives
• Provide proactive support by anticipating risks and preparing the CLO for meetings and events
• Support preparation and logistics for board meetings, executive sessions, and leadership forums
• Assist with legal team operations including document coordination and tracking deliverables
• Process expense reports, manage budgets, and coordinate vendor payments
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners
• Mentor junior Executive Assistants and contribute to team initiatives and backup support
4. Requirements:
• Proven success providing administrative support in a fast-paced, global environment
• Experience supporting senior executives, preferably in legal or compliance settings
• Exceptional discretion, judgment, and professionalism handling sensitive information
• Strong stakeholder management skills with confidence engaging senior leadership and external partners
• Ability to prioritize competing demands across multiple stakeholders and channels
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, comfortable interacting at all levels
• Adaptability to ambiguity and shifting priorities
• Proactive, independent work style with anticipation of needs
• Flexibility for urgent matters outside business hours when required
• Willingness to travel approximately 20% for executive and board-related onsite support
• Based in the United States within Pacific, Mountain, or Central Time zones
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• Annual cash compensation range: $96,000—$144,000 USD
• Compensation includes base salary, on-target commissions (if eligible), annual bonuses, and potential participation in equity plans
• Individual packages are tailored to skills, experience, and qualifications
