About the Opportunity:
The organization is focused on addressing public health challenges such as obesity and type 2 diabetes by providing care that combines individualized nutrition with ongoing clinical support. This opportunity is for a Senior Data Scientist on the Advanced Analytics & AI team, responsible for transforming data into actionable insights and supporting data-driven decision making. The role collaborates with engineering, product, commercial, and clinical teams to improve health outcomes through innovative data solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as data lead for the Retention Squad
• Deeply understand product strategy, goals, roadmap, and users to identify strategic opportunities and risks
• Use data to inform discussions, develop hypotheses, challenge assumptions, and prioritize initiatives
• Translate product ideas into analytical questions and design approaches to answer them
• Define, monitor, and analyze KPIs and product metrics to identify trends and drivers
• Prioritize and deliver analyses that inform product decisions and impact outcomes
• Guide experimentation, enabling self-serve experiments and promoting rapid learning
• Identify opportunities to integrate AI and machine learning to improve product strategy and execution
• Act as a collaborative leader to focus work on high-impact priorities
• Translate clinical, member, and claims data into actionable recommendations by designing reports, dashboards, data flows, and transformation pipelines
Requirements:
• Experience at a digital health or similar startup, ideally during a growth phase
• 7+ years in Healthcare Analytics or Data Science working with large datasets and quantitative modeling
• 5+ years of experience with data science and visualization tools (SQL, R, and/or Python)
• Advanced understanding of data storage, ETL frameworks, data transformation, and validation
• Experience building BI dashboards with tools like Looker or Tableau
• Ability to explain technology and techniques to others
• Experience leading cross-functional efforts to build scalable data systems (nice-to-have)
• Understanding of Generative AI and experience with GenAI tools (nice-to-have)
• Experience building pipelines using dbt (nice-to-have)
• Demonstrated project management experience (nice-to-have)
