2. About the Opportunity:
The Senior Data Scientist, Marketing will play a strategic and hands-on role within the Growth team to enhance marketing measurement and optimize full-funnel performance. This position is central to scaling marketing efforts across both product-led B2C and sales-led B2B channels by developing AI-driven analytics tools that enable data-informed decision-making. The role supports smarter business strategies through predictive insights, directly impacting marketing effectiveness and revenue growth. This position offers flexibility to work remotely within the US or from the San Francisco Bay Area.
3. Responsibilities:
• Develop channel-specific customer acquisition cost (CAC) targets based on audience intent and funnel stage
• Improve attribution models considering platform limitations and first-party data availability
• Lead incrementality measurement and design in-house conversion lift experiments with the performance marketing team
• Build AI-powered tools to automate marketing analysis and generate actionable insights
• Create and refine marketing dashboards for acquisition, retention, and monetization reporting
• Develop lead scoring models to prioritize high-value prospects for sales and marketing
• Forecast campaign performance to guide monthly budget allocation
• Design recommendation systems leveraging user behavior data for optimal channel mix and budget decisions
• Collaborate across Marketing, Sales, Product, and Analytics Engineering to ensure data quality and usability
• Promote rigorous experimentation, measurement, and statistical standards throughout the organization
• Identify trends and opportunities through data to enhance user acquisition, activation, and retention
4. Requirements:
• Proven ownership and resourcefulness in driving results
• Deep knowledge of advertising platforms (Meta, Google, Microsoft), data enrichment, and reverse ETL with CDPs such as Segment or Census
• Strong expertise in incrementality testing, randomized controlled experiments, and quasi-experiments
• Experience building in-house attribution models
• Successful track record with both product-led growth funnels and sales-led go-to-market strategies
• Familiarity with AI tools and frameworks for marketing analytics and optimization
• Understanding of large language models (LLMs) and their application to marketing insights
• Ability to build and deploy AI-driven prediction models for user behavior and conversion
• Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a data scientist or similar role
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python or R
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• The base salary range for this role is $170,000 - 208,000 per year. Final offers will consider factors such as experience, expertise, and location and may vary from this range.
