2. About the Opportunity:
The Senior Data Scientist II - AI for Analytics will lead efforts to double the number of new features launched by 2026 through effective use of AI. This role focuses on driving AI initiatives to support analytics, enabling faster and broader access to data insights. The position contributes to product strategy, AI deployment in production, and enhancing product features with intelligent data science methods. It requires strong cross-functional collaboration and leadership to prioritize initiatives and align teams around shared goals.
3. Responsibilities:
• Use data to identify key opportunity areas and contribute to product idea development
• Deploy and manage various AI systems in production environments
• Enhance product features with data science techniques, including statistical and machine learning methods
• Lead cross-functional efforts to completion with minimal oversight
• Occasionally engage in related roles such as data engineering or machine learning engineering
• Develop and maintain the product roadmap
• Prioritize requests from multiple stakeholders effectively
• Act as a senior leader aligning the team on principles, processes, and objectives
4. Requirements:
• 6+ years of experience in data science or a related field
• Deep engagement with AI workflows
• Expertise in Python (pandas), SQL, git, and Jupyter notebooks
• Strong statistical and analytical skills
• Experience building machine learning, statistical, or AI models that reached production
Preferred Qualifications:
• 8+ years of experience in data science or related fields
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to develop metric systems aligned with business strategy
• Significant experience with causal experimentation
• Proven ability to build and support complex machine learning or statistical models in production
• Proficiency with Python libraries (pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels, or PyTorch), visualization libraries beyond matplotlib, web frameworks such as Flask, SQL (Snowflake), git, and Jupyter notebooks
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• Compensation varies by location and candidate experience
• Base pay ranges for US candidates are:
- CA, NY, CT, NJ: $218,000 to $230,000 USD
- WA: $209,000 to $220,500 USD
- OR, DE, ME, MA, MD, NH, RI, VT, DC, PA, VA, CO, TX, IL, HI: $200,000 to $211,000 USD
- All other states: $182,000 to $192,000 USD
• Eligible for new hire equity grants and annual refresh grants
