About the Role

The Senior Data Scientist (Growth) will play a key role in scaling growth and user retention efforts by optimizing the user acquisition and subscription funnel. This position contributes to the Growth team's strategy and operations, collaborating closely with business, marketing, and product teams to improve registration, subscription, and churn metrics. The role leverages advanced data science techniques to enable faster, data-driven decisions that impact millions of users and drive measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable A/B tests and causal inference models to optimize registration, conversion, and retention
• Build and scale automation tools for experimentation and user segmentation
• Develop predictive models and statistical frameworks to improve customer lifetime value and reduce churn
• Analyze user behavior through clustering and geospatial data to personalize experiences
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to develop and iterate on impactful product features
• Partner with growth, lifecycle marketing, and user acquisition teams to apply insights to marketing and product strategies
• Work with data engineering to enhance data infrastructure for experimentation and analysis
• Mentor and lead within the data science team, establishing best practices in experimentation, machine learning, and AI-native development

Requirements

• 4+ years in data science, machine learning, or analytics focused on growth, experimentation, and retention
• Expertise in causal inference, A/B testing, and statistical modeling
• Proficient in machine learning models for segmentation, personalization, and predictive analytics
• Skilled in Python (including Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow) and SQL
• Experience with big data tools such as Spark, AWS, and Databricks
• Background in product development or customer lifecycle management
• Strong business acumen with ability to translate data insights into strategies
• Excellent communication and leadership skills for cross-functional influence

Nice to Have

• Experience with subscription products, lifecycle marketing, or user acquisition
• Familiarity with geospatial data and mobile location services
• Knowledge of Bayesian modeling, uplift modeling, and reinforcement learning
• Experience with automation tools for experimentation and data science operations
• Background in consumer technology in fast-paced environments

Compensation

US-based candidates: $129,000 — $190,000 USD annually Canada-based candidates: $149,500 — $176,000 CAD annually

Compensation varies based on location, experience, skills, and background. Package includes medical, dental, vision, financial benefits, and equity.
