Product Data Scientist

About the Opportunity:

The organization is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to create scalable, data-driven solutions that enhance player engagement, support secure online communities, and improve the player experience. This role focuses on advancing game analytics tools and collaborating with various teams to deliver features that benefit both players and game developers.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze large sets of game telemetry data to identify player behaviors, feature usage trends, security threats, and opportunities for improvement

• Design and test solutions to increase new player retention through data-driven insights and automation

• Develop methods to detect and mitigate non-human bot activity

• Translate analytical solutions into automated product features

• Present findings and insights from data models to stakeholders

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience applying data science methodologies to product development

• Strong knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and anomaly detection

• Expertise in experimental design, hypothesis testing, regression, classification, and clustering

• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Typescript

• Experience with optimized SQL for dataset building and analysis

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably GCP

• Experience with big data tools such as BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, Spark, and Beam

• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical work

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges

• Preferred: Experience with Kubernetes, Open Source tooling, graph databases, matchmaking, 3D event data analysis, SaaS product development, the video gaming industry, startup environments, and technical writing

Compensation:

• The salary range for this position is $140,000 USD to $180,000 USD annually, with the opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices.
