About the Opportunity

The Performance Marketing Manager will lead efforts to accelerate direct-to-consumer (DTC) revenue by managing digital customer acquisition and ecommerce growth strategies. Reporting to the VP of Product Marketing, this role is central to scaling paid digital channels and growing the presence of premium smart lock products to a broader audience. The position drives impactful marketing performance and ecommerce expansion within an established DTC framework.

Responsibilities

Growth Strategy & Channel Management

• Multi-Channel Scaling: Lead and scale comprehensive digital marketing strategies across paid search, paid social, affiliate marketing, and programmatic display channels.
• Agency & Vendor Relations: Serve as the primary operational liaison for external performance marketing agencies and affiliate networks.
• Cross-Functional Brand Alignment: Collaborate with Brand Marketing, Creative, and Product teams to ensure high-performing acquisition campaigns perfectly align with the company’s design ethos and premium brand identity.

Funnel Optimization & Analytics

• Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Design, deploy, and implement rigorous A/B testing frameworks to optimize conversion rates across dedicated landing pages and digital purchasing funnels.
• Data & Dashboard Engineering: Utilize Google Analytics (GA4) and advanced attribution tools to build comprehensive performance dashboards and deliver actionable insights to executive leadership.

Financial Accountability

• Budget & Efficiency Management: Manage the DTC media budget to consistently achieve or exceed target metrics for Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), Cost Per Acquisition (CPA), and Customer Lifetime Value (LTV).

Requirements

Experience & Industry Domain

• Tenure: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in DTC performance, growth, or digital acquisition marketing.
• Industry Background: Proven success accelerating ecommerce revenue for consumer brands; experience within the consumer electronics or smart home technology sectors is highly preferred.
• Brand Balance: Demonstrated ability to maintain a premium, high-design brand identity while aggressively driving direct-response marketing metrics.

Technical Stack & Analytical Capabilities

• Platform Expertise: Hands-on mastery of Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, GA4, and the Shopify ecommerce ecosystem.
• Data Literacy: Strong analytical skills with deep proficiency in multi-touch attribution modeling and complex customer journey mapping.
• Work Style & Communication: Effective communication skills with the ability to thrive and pivot within fast-paced, growth-oriented environments.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation

• Base Salary Range: $135,000 to $165,000 USD per year.
• Variable Incentives: Includes an annual performance-based bonus target.
• Placement Matrix: Final compensation decisions consider a broad scope of candidate-specific factors, including qualifications, specialized training, and experience.
