About the Opportunity:
This organization is dedicated to reducing death, injury, and property loss due to fire, electrical, and related hazards by delivering information, codes, standards, research, and training. The Project Manager, Marketing will support the organization’s mission by planning and overseeing marketing projects, collaborating with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with company objectives, and maintaining budgets and timelines.
Responsibilities:
• Provide high-level project planning and support for marketing projects and campaigns, including initiation, development, testing, deployment, optimization, and retrospectives.
• Organize project meetings such as daily scrums, status updates, sprint planning, and backlog refinement for the marketing team.
• Track progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, and key performance indicators; prepare reports for senior management and divisional leads.
• Support strategic planning and improve marketing processes, technology, and workflows.
• Assess team capacity, reprioritize tasks, and support project members, with input from senior marketing management.
• Identify, document, and recommend solutions for project issues, dependencies, and risks.
• Route projects through technical, proofing, and legal approvals.
• Apply critical thinking to marketing systems, software, and process improvements.
• Occasionally lead and plan organization-wide projects related to project management and process enhancements.
• Assist in routing contracts and statements of work (SOWs) to legal, business owners, and approvers.
• Maintain contract records with third parties and manage SOWs for vendors and agencies; support agency selection and SOW review.
• Manage the overall marketing budget, track spending, and process invoices.
• Contribute to strategic budget planning with senior management.
• Create, manage, and distribute project communication materials such as plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Collaborate with project teams, third-party resources, and business groups.
• Provide feedback, recommendations, updates, and encouragement to team members.
• Share departmental updates with senior management and key stakeholders.
• Document and assess process flows for efficiency within and across teams.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project management and prior marketing experience
• Strong project planning and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong decision-making and planning abilities
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and strong time-management skills
• Ability to drive projects to completion and meet deadlines under pressure
• Facilitation skills for meetings, overviews, decisions, recaps, and follow-ups
• Experience managing traditional waterfall and Agile projects
• Proficiency in budget management
• Ability to foster relationships with project teams, third-party resources, and business groups
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with project management tools
• Experience with Miro (preferred not required)
• Experience with digital asset management systems (preferred not required)
• Understanding of integrated marketing processes
• Understanding of the customer journey and focus on customer experience
• Experience working remotely and building relationships through virtual communication
