2. About the Opportunity:
The Lead Software Engineer role is responsible for leading a software engineering team in developing scalable Enterprise B2B solutions. This position ensures high technical standards across architecture, code quality, and operations while guiding AI integration to enhance development processes. The role balances people leadership with hands-on technical contributions, influencing system design and legacy modernization initiatives to support business outcomes.
3. Responsibilities:
• Set and uphold team quality standards for coding, architecture, testing, and operations
• Provide technical and architectural leadership for system design and platform evolution
• Promote adoption of design and architectural patterns including component-based, event-driven, API-first, and contract-driven development
• Develop and improve workflows such as code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and release criteria
• Lead AI adoption by identifying use cases, promoting responsible tool usage, and aligning AI practices with security and compliance
• Mentor engineers in system design, problem decomposition, and development best practices
• Contribute hands-on to design reviews, complex implementations, and legacy refactoring
• Drive legacy system modernization balancing technical debt and feature delivery
• Collaborate with Product, Design, DevOps, and other stakeholders to ensure scalability, reliability, and business alignment
4. Requirements:
• 12+ years of development experience with at least 3 years in leadership
• Proven leadership of engineering teams in Enterprise SaaS environments
• Strong skills in React, Node.js, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
• Deep knowledge of software engineering principles including SOLID, DRY, KISS, and domain-driven design
• Experience designing scalable system architectures in Enterprise SaaS
• Familiarity with component-based architectures, event-driven systems, API-first, and contract-driven development
• Experience leading legacy modernization and migrations to modern stacks
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, deployment, and release automation
• Knowledge of testing strategies including unit, integration, end-to-end, and contract testing
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures
• Familiarity with AWS architecture patterns covering networking, security, and scaling
• Experience building or maintaining design systems and shared component libraries
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• Target Compensation: $130,000 - $150,000
• This range reflects a reasonable estimate and may vary based on qualifications or applicable law.

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for servicing metal detection, X-ray, and checkweighing equipment at customer sites throughout the U.S. This role ensures machines operate at peak efficiency through calibration, testing, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs. The position plays a critical role in maintaining customer satisfaction by delivering reliable technical support and promoting additional product offerings. The Field Service Engineer also contributes to continuous improvement by providing feedback on equipment performance and participating in training programs.
3. Responsibilities:
• Travel to customer sites in the food and pharmaceutical industries to deliver field support
• Calibrate, test, commission, and maintain inspection machines using certified procedures
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs at customer locations
• Document service activities accurately, including service, calibration, and expense reports
• Promote sales of service contracts, new equipment, and spare parts
• Provide feedback on equipment reliability and design improvements
• Manage parts inventory and request necessary supplies
• Maintain company property including laptop, phone, safety equipment, and tools
• Follow safe working practices consistently
• Conduct on-site training for customer personnel on equipment operation
• Hold meetings with customers to discuss service scope and outcomes
• Participate in weekend on-call rotation and after-hours phone support
• Communicate technical issues between field and internal support teams
• Attend training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills
• Perform additional related tasks as assigned by supervisors
4. Requirements:
• High school diploma required; associate degree from a technical school preferred
• Minimum 3 years of technical experience or 4 years of military experience; field travel experience preferred
• Proficient in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing electro-mechanical equipment with root cause analysis
• Strong organizational skills for paperwork and reporting
• Self-motivated with a drive to exceed expectations
• Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical and electronic schematics and diagrams
• Professional communication skills capable of resolving customer issues and defusing conflict
• Willingness to learn diverse products and continuously improve knowledge
• Skilled in using electronic test equipment such as multimeters

Physical and Environmental Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Willingness to travel extensively, approximately 80% or more
• Ability to work in tight, noisy, odorous, dusty, cold, and hot environments regularly

• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as walking, twisting, bending, kneeling, crawling, crouching, reaching, climbing, and working in awkward positions
