LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER (Multiple Positions)

2. About the Opportunity:

The Lead Software Engineer is responsible for delivering advanced software solutions using modern technology stacks. This role leads large, complex projects involving both on-shore and off-shore teams, ensuring efficient development progress and defining software components for large-scale systems with minimal oversight. The position involves designing and modifying applications, developing and debugging software, and providing project leadership including cost estimation and task planning. Additionally, the role includes mentoring junior team members and supporting production applications. This position can be fully remote within the U.S., with no required travel.

3. Responsibilities:

• Deliver software solutions using advanced technical knowledge and modern technology stacks

• Lead large, complex projects with on-shore and off-shore resources

• Organize and maintain efficient development progress

• Define software components for large-scale systems

• Design changes to new and existing applications

• Develop and debug software supporting various applications

• Provide project leadership including cost estimation and task planning

• Mentor and coach junior team members

• Support production applications

4. Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field

• 7 years of experience in software development within an IT organization

• 3 years of experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MSSQL, or Postgres

• Experience with higher-level programming languages such as C# or Java

• Understanding of complex retail and technology concepts

• Experience leading teams

• Ability to work 100% remotely from a home office anywhere in the U.S.

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
