About the Opportunity:
The organization provides tools for subscription measurement and experimentation, supporting developers in understanding and growing their mobile app revenue. This opportunity is for an engineering leader to guide a remote-first team focused on building and scaling in-app subscription solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Build and lead a distributed engineering team through hiring, coaching, and support.
• Collaborate with product, design, and support teams to set direction and plan for scaling and long-term strategy.
• Drive the iterative execution of the product roadmap and establish efficient, transparent processes for consistent delivery.
• Coach and mentor engineers for professional growth.
• Partner with other engineering managers to promote ownership, belonging, and inclusivity within the organization.
• Onboard quickly to technical projects and team processes.
• Ship significant product features within the first three months.
• Plan and execute quarterly initiatives with product and design partners.
• Define team milestones and ensure iterative delivery.
• Establish and refine processes for fast and reliable shipping within six months.
• Guide technical discussions and champion improvements alongside feature development.
• Build domain knowledge to prioritize and triage technical issues within twelve months.
• Help recruit and onboard talent aligned with organizational values.
• Foster clear communication, trust, mentorship, and timely feedback within the team.
Requirements:
• 6+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• 3+ years of experience managing software engineering teams.
• Experience building prioritized team roadmaps in cross-functional environments.
• Ability to balance shipping features, managing technical debt, and system improvements.
• Hands-on with code reviews and bug investigations.
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting.
• Track record of ensuring quality software through iterative development cycles.
• Ability to lead and guide engineers in technical decisions.
• Experience coaching engineers at different levels in their career development.
• Customer-focused mindset.
