About the Opportunity:
This opportunity is for a Director, Enterprise Sales Engineering to provide technical leadership and strategic direction for a high-performance Sales Engineering team within an organization specializing in cybersecurity and security operations. The Director will focus on team leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and customer engagement to drive business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
• Recruit, hire, develop, and retain a high-performance Sales Engineering team
• Build relationships and collaborate across Sales, Architects, Sales Operations, Marketing, Product Management, and R&D teams
• Engage with prospects and partners to build and maintain technical and executive relationships
• Monitor, review, and coach Sales Engineers to improve objection handling, solution demonstrations, and customer problem-solving
• Act as district escalation point for technical sales campaigns
• Maintain strong knowledge of the organization’s platform and business processes relevant to deal structure
Requirements:
• Minimum of 1 year in a front-line management role, preferably leading a presales engineering team within networking, security, infrastructure, SaaS, or governance risk and compliance industries
• Minimum of 3 years in a customer-facing role, preferably in a presales engineering or security consulting role
• Minimum of 3 years supporting, delivering, or designing enterprise IT systems
• Ability to articulate business application and value of technology to audiences ranging from technical to executive
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, time management, and attention to detail skills
• Demonstrated emotional intelligence and ability to manage change in a dynamic environment
• Experience as a player-coach, with mentoring ability and motivation skills
• Practitioner, consultative, or pre-sales experience in networking, security, server infrastructure, identity management, cloud services, governance, risk, or compliance
• Ability to speak publicly on behalf of the organization in large forums such as tradeshows or webinars
Preferred Requirements:
• 2 years in a front-line management role leading a sales engineering team in relevant industries
• 2 years direct quota-carrying pre-sales leadership experience
• Proven experience exceeding revenue goals in a leadership role
• Leadership experience in commercial or enterprise business segments
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
