2. About the Opportunity:
The Data Software Engineer II is responsible for designing and modernizing data platforms by migrating, consolidating, and refactoring enterprise data warehouses. This role develops scalable data pipelines and streaming solutions, manages large datasets in cloud environments, and ensures data accuracy, reliability, and compliance. The position plays a key role in enabling AI-powered tools, including generative AI and large language models, to deliver actionable insights that improve decision-making and operational outcomes.
This position is fully remote for candidates located in specified states and regions.
3. Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and modernize enterprise data platforms
• Develop scalable data pipelines and streaming solutions
• Work with large-scale datasets in cloud environments
• Apply best practices in data modeling, governance, and security
• Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and compliance across the data lifecycle
• Implement data validation, monitoring, and alerting frameworks
• Support and enable AI-powered tools including generative AI and LLM-based solutions
4. Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 2-5 years of related experience, preferably in software engineering
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as C#, Java, or Python
• Experience with source code control systems like Git
• SQL and NoSQL integration development experience
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps, TFS, and Jira
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively on multi-disciplinary teams
• Experience designing and implementing mid-sized projects
Preferred:
• Experience in healthcare settings
• Strong background in data engineering, including real-time streaming architectures
• Experience with generative AI, large language models, and data-driven platforms
• Skills in modeling, processing, and optimizing large datasets in distributed or cloud environments
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• Salary ranges vary by location, with minimum and maximum hourly rates specified for each eligible area (e.g., Anchorage, California, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Washington). Placement within the range depends on experience and other factors. Additional compensation such as shift differentials, overtime, and bonuses may be available.
