2. About the Opportunity:
The Data Scientist, Learning Supports is responsible for providing advanced analytic support across multiple project teams. This role manages end-to-end quantitative workflows, including data management, quality assurance, code review, and leading inferential modeling tasks for causal and non-causal analyses. The position also involves expanding the program''s application of machine learning methods and translating technical findings into clear insights for clients and stakeholders, thereby supporting data-driven decision-making.
3. Responsibilities:
• Lead or contribute to rigorous quantitative research and evaluation projects.
• Apply quantitative methods for data collection, management, analysis, and interpretation.
• Develop and maintain reproducible analytic workflows and quality control procedures.
• Review and improve junior analysts'' code and provide mentorship.
• Translate complex analytic results into clear, actionable insights for various audiences.
• Manage project tasks, timelines, and coordination with leadership and clients.
• Support proposal development through technical and analytic contributions.
• Engage with stakeholders to promote collaboration and inclusion.
4. Requirements:
• Master’s degree with 4 years or Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant quantitative research experience.
• Experience leading or supporting quantitative research or evaluations, preferably in public-sector, nonprofit, or education contexts.
• Proficiency in inferential analyses for causal and non-causal research questions.
• Experience managing datasets with documentation, quality control, and reproducible workflows.
• Familiarity or interest in machine learning methods preferred.
• Proficiency in R, Stata, or Python.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and translate complex analyses for diverse audiences.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
